Steady Azerbaijani Manat Maintains Stability Against US Dollar


Baku: The official exchange rate of the Azerbaijani manat against the US dollar, as set by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), remained steady at the end of this week, Trend reports. The weighted average rate at the end of the week amounted to 1.7 manat per dollar, reflecting no fluctuation throughout the week.



According to Trend News Agency, while the manat maintained its stability against the US dollar, it experienced a slight depreciation against the euro. The official exchange rate of the manat fell by 0.0108 manat against the euro this week. The weighted average rate also decreased by 0.00258 manat, bringing it to 1.97616 manat per euro.



Furthermore, the manat saw a decrease in its rate against the Russian ruble by 0.0052 manat. However, the weighted average rose by 0.0027 manat, resulting in a rate of 2.09226 manat per ruble. This indicates a mixed performance of the Azerbaijani currency against the ruble throughout the week.



In addition, the official exchange rate of the manat against the Turkish lira decreased by 0.0001 manat. The weighted average rate exhibited a similar decrease of 0.0001 manat, amounting to 0.04048 manat per lira. The weekly averages indicate a minimal movement in the exchange rate of the manat against the Turkish currency.



The data reflects a week of relative stability for the Azerbaijani manat, with its value holding firm against the US dollar but showing slight fluctuations against other major currencies such as the euro, the Russian ruble, and the Turkish lira.
