Baku: As part of the 9th meeting of the Coordination Committee between SOCAR and the German company Uniper, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Uniper SE Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Uniper Global Commodities SE Carsten Poppinga. The meeting underscored the robust and productive collaboration that has been established between SOCAR and Uniper over the years.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions centered on strategic development goals and included a review of the achievements made by both companies. Uniper’s significant role as a primary partner in the procurement of Azerbaijani gas and its distribution to the European market was a focal point of the meeting. Both parties also thoroughly examined the potential for increasing the volumes of gas purchased from SOCAR.
Further discussions delved into expanding their cooperation within the upstream sector, enhancing the exchange of knowledge and experience, and addressing other areas of mutual interest. The meeting highlighted the commitment of both SOCAR and Uniper to strengthening their partnership and exploring new avenues for collaboration.
