Baku: The 9th Coordination Committee meeting between SOCAR and the German company Uniper was held, marking another step in their ongoing collaboration. The meeting included significant contributions from SOCAR Vice President Elshad Nasirov, Uniper SE Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Uniper Global Commodities SE Carsten Poppinga, and Germany’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann. Additionally, SOCAR Vice President Ziba Mustafayeva delivered a keynote address.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the speakers emphasized the successful continuation of the long-term cooperation between SOCAR and Uniper. They highlighted the importance of their joint projects for European energy security and expressed a shared commitment to further strengthen their collaboration across various areas.
During the meeting, presentations were given on several key topics, including the SOCAR-Uniper cooperation, the Southern Gas Corridor’s current status, European energy policy, and emerging trends. Discussions also covered energy transition, sustainability, decarbonization, and the companies’ communication strategies and human resources policies.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Cooperation Program for 2025-2026, solidifying the partnership between SOCAR and Uniper for future endeavors.
