Vienna: A seminar on the topic “Armenia-Azerbaijan Negotiations: How to Move on the Path of Peace” was held today at the Austrian National Defense Academy in Vienna, organized by the “International Center for European Union Research”, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the participants of the seminar included the chairman of the National Front Party, MP Razi Nurullayev, and the chairman of the opposition “Bright Armenia” Party in Armenia, Edmon Marukyan. Razi Nurullayev informed that the seminar was dedicated to analyzing the development of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan following the Washington Agreement signed in August 2025. The seminar aimed to assess the impact of the agreement on regional stability and explore the practical possibilities of the TRIPP framework as a sustainable peace mechanism.
The discussions at the seminar focused on the impact of these processes on Armenia’s domestic political landscape ahead of the 2026 elections and how Azerbaijan is positioning itself in the post-conflict period. Razi Nurullayev emphasized that a level of trust has developed between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He highlighted that significant progress towards peace was made at the Washington meeting and encouraged the Armenian opposition not to view Nikol Pashinyan’s actions as hostile. Nurullayev urged the Armenian opposition to contribute towards finalizing the peace agreement that has been initialed, for the benefit of the peoples, states, and the region.
