Baku: ‘This meeting, chaired by Azerbaijan, will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to our organization by further strengthening cooperation in the fields of labor, employment, and social protection,’ said Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), during the first Meeting of the Ministers of Labour, Employment and Social Protection.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Omuraliev emphasized the economic potential of OTS member countries, noting that in 2024, the total GDP exceeded $2.1 trillion, while total trade reached $1.1 trillion.

‘The share of foreign and domestic trade between OTS member states currently accounts for 7 percent of this total, compared to approximately 3 percent a few years ago. Such continuous growth is very encouraging. These figures reflect not only statistics but also the dynamism of our organization,’ he added.
