Roundtable on “Climate-Resilient Agribusiness” Held in Baku


Baku: A roundtable discussion on ‘Climate-Resilient Agribusiness: Strategy, Investment and Policy Alignment’ was held as part of the Baku Climate Action Week, APA reports. The event was attended by COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov, Regional Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for Europe and Central Asia Viorel Gutu, and representatives of the public and private sectors.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event participants held discussions on the adoption of new strategies in agriculture in the context of climate change and put forward their proposals. Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov listened to the proposals and recommendations of private sector representatives on the work that can be done in the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan to combat and adapt to climate change, and listened to their current difficulties.
