Representative of Bangladesh Highlights the Unique Role of CICA in Addressing Global Challenges

Astana: For Mohammad Ashique Rahman, Senior Research Fellow at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIIS), the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) stands out as a truly unique international organization. He shared this perspective during the session themed ‘CICA as an International Organization-Transformation and Capacity Building,’ part of the 13th meeting of the CICA Think Tank Forum.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Rahman emphasized CICA’s ability to unite experts from various fields, transforming difficult challenges into opportunities. He underscored the importance of the Forum, highlighting the numerous challenges and conflicts currently faced by the world, with some regions at risk of becoming active conflict zones.

Rahman further pointed out the necessity of involving young people in CICA’s processes, given their crucial role. He noted that Asian countries possess a wealth of talented young individuals whose potential should be harnessed. The primary goal, he stated, is to develop a robust work plan based on international values and to build sustainable cooperation mechanisms. He remarked that for research centers, forums like these serve as valuable sources of information and are essential in fostering cooperation mechanisms that ensure sustainable development.
