The remains of Martyr Namig Jafarov, who was believed to have gone missing and whose burial place and identity were determined after 32 years, were handed over to his family, APA reports.

A farewell ceremony was held for the martyr Namig Jafarov in Saatly district.

The remains of the martyr were laid to rest in the Saatly district cemetery.

The funeral ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Saatli District Executive Authority, law enforcement agencies, families of martyrs, veterans, and representatives of the district community.

Namig Jafarov was martyred in September 1992 in the fighting in the Aghdara district.

It was discovered that he was buried as an unknown martyr in the Alley of Martyrs in Tartar and his identity was determined.
