Baku: The Rasht-Astara railway contract will be signed soon, said Amin Taraffo, head of the International Affairs Center at Iran’s Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, APA reports, citing Tasnim.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, an important trilateral meeting between Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan is scheduled to take place in Baku this week. The meeting aims to enhance cooperation within the North-South Corridor. Discussions are underway to finalize the commercial contract between an Iranian company and a Russian company, which will serve as the contractor for the Rasht-Astara railway. It is anticipated that the contract will be signed shortly, allowing the project to move into its implementation phase.
