Baku:Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, recently engaged in discussions with António de Almeida-Ribeiro, Acting Secretary-General of the International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID), on October 28. The meeting focused on the enhancement of bilateral cooperation, particularly in areas of interfaith and intercultural dialogue, religious tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, alongside the expansion of international cooperation.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, both parties explored the future prospects of their cooperative efforts. Ramin Mammadov provided insights into Azerbaijan’s state policy, which aligns with President Ilham Aliyev’s political course that emphasizes preserving multiculturalism and tolerance. He highlighted initiatives that promote religious and cultural diversity within the country.
António de Almeida-Ribeiro commended Azerbaijan for its active role in fostering intercultural cooperation. He particularly noted Azerbaijan’s contributions to the global dialogue and mutual understanding initiatives through the Baku Process, emphasizing the importance of continuing these efforts to build international trust.
