Baku: Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov emphasized the significance of US President Donald Trump’s remarks regarding President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership at a special meeting held at the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports. He described Trump’s words, “You are a great leader,” as a high value and appreciation for Aliyev’s unparalleled activities, which have transformed Azerbaijan into a powerful state.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during his 22-year leadership, President Ilham Aliyev has achieved successes that no other independent state in the 21st century has matched. Prime Minister Asadov highlighted that Azerbaijan’s consistent political and socio-economic reforms, strengthening defense capabilities, and international cooperation have been pivotal in shaping the nation’s prosperity. The Prime Minister noted Azerbaijan’s strategic leadership in the region, particularly through projects that have redrawn the global energy and transport map.
Prime Minister Asadov stressed the importance of maintaining these achievements through a strong state, economy, and defense capability. He expressed confidence in President Aliyev’s leadership, stating that his iron logic, will, and fist are central to prioritizing the nation’s interests and values. On behalf of the government, Asadov assured that they would strive to fulfill the tasks and duties set by President Aliyev to achieve further development for Azerbaijan.
