Kalbajar: President Ilham Aliyev has announced plans to fully modernize the railway system in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. ‘The construction of the railway to Zangilan is already well underway. It will probably be completed next year,’ President Aliyev stated during a meeting with residents of Kalbajar city.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the strategic importance of this development. He revealed that the modernization efforts extend beyond Azerbaijani borders, as Armenia has also committed to constructing railway infrastructure on its territory. President Aliyev described this as a historic achievement for Azerbaijan, highlighting the collaborative aspect of the project and its potential to enhance regional connectivity.
