Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, made a visit to the Sea Breeze resort, a significant development situated on the Caspian Sea coast, on July 16. The visit highlighted the growing importance of the resort, which is located just 30 minutes from Baku’s city center and is known for its unique real estate projects along the coastline.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Emin Agalarov, the founder of Sea Breeze, provided a detailed briefing to the Azerbaijani President and the Turkmenistan leader regarding the completed and planned projects at the resort. Sea Breeze spans 500 hectares and has already seen the completion of over 3 million square meters of residential and commercial real estate. The resort currently houses more than 20,000 residents, with expectations to surpass 50,000 by 2028. The long-term goal is to accommodate 500,000 people once fully completed, including the development of a distinctive crescent-shaped artificial peninsula covering 50 hectares.
The resort has dedicated over 150 hectares to recreational zones, parks, and beaches. Its infrastructure includes essential facilities such as a school, kindergarten, and hospital to support both residents and visitors. Landscaping efforts have led to the planting of approximately 10 million plants and trees, expanding green areas to 300 hectares.
Currently employing 6,560 people, Sea Breeze plans to significantly increase its staff in the future. The total investment in the resort has reached $3 billion, with an additional $10 billion planned over the next five years. The visit by the two leaders underscores the strategic importance and ambitious vision of the Sea Breeze resort as a major hub for residential and commercial growth in the region.
