Baku: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed strong support for the establishment of common information platforms through regional cooperation. In his address to participants at the D-8 Media Forum, themed ‘Promoting Dialogue, Cooperation and Regional Solidarity,’ President Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan’s commitment to hosting prestigious international media events and advancing significant initiatives in the media sector.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized aligning Azerbaijan’s national media strategy with international practices. He underscored the importance of enhancing journalist professionalism, delivering evidence-based news, and fostering media literacy. The President reiterated Azerbaijan’s support for creating information platforms through regional collaboration, aiming to strengthen dialogue and cooperation in the media landscape.
