Copenhagen: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Prime Minister Dick Schoof of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Copenhagen, as reported by Trend. The meeting focused on various aspects of bilateral and international cooperation, with both leaders exchanging views on recent developments and future collaborations.
According to Trend News Agency, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands congratulated President Aliyev on the progress made in Washington concerning the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan, highlighting the importance of these achievements. President Aliyev acknowledged the significance of the Washington Declaration, signed with Armenia in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump, as a pivotal step towards normalizing relations and ensuring regional peace, pointing out that peace now exists between the two nations.
During the meeting, the successful operation of Dutch companies in Azerbaijan was emphasized, with involvement in sectors such as shipping, port construction, the electrical industry, agriculture, and urban planning. Discussions also included cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands within international organizations.
The Prime Minister of the Netherlands also congratulated Azerbaijan on successfully hosting COP29, noting that significant outcomes were realized in advancing the international climate agenda during the event.
