Baku: President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the crucial role of national prosecution bodies in defending state sovereignty during an international conference in Baku focused on the status of the Prosecutor’s Office in the Constitution. He stated that these bodies are at the forefront in combating crimes that threaten the constitutional order, thereby ensuring the rule of law and protecting the country’s sovereignty.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev underscored the significance of the presence of delegations and high-ranking representatives from various national prosecutorial services at the event. He noted that their participation highlights the importance of developing interstate cooperation.
President Aliyev expressed his belief that the conference would facilitate the exchange of best practices in prosecutorial activities, help identify common challenges, promote discussions on joint resolutions, and strengthen mutual cooperation among the participating countries.
