Baku: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev highlighted the Azerbaijani army’s effectiveness on the battlefield during an interview with Saudi Arabia’s Al Arabiya TV channel. He emphasized the strategic importance of Azerbaijan’s geographical positioning and its role in global connectivity and political stability.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev pointed out that Turkey is a leading military force globally and holds the position of the second-largest army in NATO after the United States. He underscored that the Azerbaijani army has proven its capabilities not in parades but through real battlefield achievements. The President also discussed the significance of Azerbaijan’s territories and facilities in global corridors and connectivity.
He further stressed the importance of political stability and friendly relations among organization members, which he believes makes the organization unique. President Aliyev expressed his vision for strengthening the organization through various projects and investments in energy, transportation, and cultural sectors. He envisions transforming the organization into a significant global actor, capable of playing a stabilizing role on the international stage and generating opportunities for neighboring countries.
