Baku: President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the transformative impact of the Contract of the Century on the region’s geopolitical and geo-economic landscape. As he addressed the official opening of the 30th Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, the 13th Caspian Power Exhibition, and the 30th Baku Energy Forum, he noted the significance of the contract signed in 1994 with a consortium of international oil companies.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized that the Contract of the Century marked a turning point for Azerbaijan and the surrounding region. He credited the vision of President Heydar Aliyev for initiating the agreement that brought substantial changes to the area’s strategic and economic framework.
