Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Trkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, celebrating the national holiday of the Republic of Trkiye, known as Republic Day.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter from President Aliyev extended heartfelt congratulations to President Erdogan and the people of Trkiye on behalf of the Azerbaijani people. President Aliyev acknowledged Trkiye’s achievements under President Erdogan’s leadership, highlighting the country’s growing influence and success on the international stage. He noted Trkiye’s significant role in international affairs and its efforts to promote peace and stability, which have gained the country worldwide respect and trust.
President Aliyev emphasized the strong ties between Azerbaijan and Trkiye, rooted in the principle of “One nation, two states.” He expressed pride in the elevation of bilateral relations to a strategic alliance, as demonstrated by the Shusha Declaration, and praised their collaboration in various sectors. The letter also reflected on President Erdogan’s recent visit to Gabala for the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, recognizing his contributions to strengthening the unity of the Turkic World.
The Azerbaijani president expressed confidence in the continued expansion and deepening of Azerbaijan-Trkiye relations. He concluded the letter by wishing President Erdogan good health and success, along with peace and prosperity for the people of Trkiye.
