Baku:President Ilham Aliyev has extended his congratulations to People’s Artist Farhad Khalilov on the occasion of his 80th birthday, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Aliyev praised Khalilov as a significant figure in contemporary Azerbaijani painting. He highlighted Khalilov’s contributions to Azerbaijani culture, noting his creations in various genres and themes characterized by diverse forms, compositional solutions, and aesthetic and ideological values. The President specifically mentioned Khalilov’s art depicting Azerbaijani nature, particularly the landscapes of Absheron, as enriching the national artistic heritage.
Khalilov’s works have been showcased in exhibitions, museums, and galleries both in Azerbaijan and internationally, where he has been recognized as an innovative artist faithful to the traditions of Azerbaijani fine arts. As Chairman of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, Khalilov has been commended for his organizational skills and his efforts in nurturing a new generation of artists.
President Aliyev expressed confidence that Khalilov will continue to produce new works that delight art admirers and contribute to the development of Azerbaijani culture. He wished Khalilov good health, happiness, and ongoing creative success.
