New york: President Ilham Aliyev announced that Azerbaijan ranks first worldwide in supplying natural gas through pipelines. “As of today, we are supplying natural gas to 14 countries. This ranks Azerbaijan as the top country in the world in terms of the number of countries it supplies with pipeline gas,” President Aliyev stated during his speech at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized Azerbaijan’s strategic role in enhancing energy security and diversifying supply routes across Europe and beyond. This achievement underscores Azerbaijan’s pivotal position in the global energy market, contributing to the stability and reliability of energy supplies worldwide.
