President Ilham Aliyev Allocates AZN 1.5 Million for Major Road Repairs in Kurdamir


Kurdamir: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order directing major repairs on roads that connect the Baku-Alat-Gazakh-State Border with Georgia highway to the villages of Sighyrli, Arshali, Mughanli, Khinisli, and the Karrar settlement in the Kurdamir district. This initiative is aimed at improving infrastructure for a population of 12,000 living in these areas.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the order stipulates that an initial sum of 1.5 million manats is allocated to the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads to initiate the repairs. These funds will be sourced from the allocation specified in sub-item 1.19.21 of the ‘Distribution of funds allocated for state capital investments (investment expenditures) in the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025,’ which was approved by Presidential Order No. 445 on January 10, 2025.



The Ministry of Finance is tasked with providing the specified financing, ensuring that the funds are available for use as outlined in the order. Furthermore, the Ministry of Economy is instructed to account for the necessary financial resources to continue the major repairs in the draft state budget for 2026.



The Cabinet of Ministers has been directed to address any issues that arise from this order, ensuring a smooth execution of the planned infrastructure improvements.
