President Highlights Khankendi Sewing Factory as Symbol of Uzbek-Azerbaijani Solidarity


Khankendi: President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the significance of the Khankendi sewing factory during a press conference on the outcomes of the high-level meeting between Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan. The factory, established on the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, currently employs over two hundred people, the vast majority of whom are women.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev noted that the factory’s expansion would lead to a significant increase in the number of employees. He described the establishment of the factory as a generous contribution from the Uzbek people to the people of Azerbaijan and the reviving Karabakh region.



President Aliyev expressed gratitude towards the Uzbek people and highlighted the factory as a symbol of the strong ties and cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The initiative is seen as a step towards boosting the local economy and providing employment opportunities in the region.
