Baku: Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the country’s substantial energy capacity during a joint press statement with Slovakian President Peter Pellegrini. President Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan’s advantage in possessing a large energy potential, which plays a crucial role in the operation of artificial intelligence and data centers.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev detailed that Azerbaijan’s current unused energy potential is about two gigawatts. This capacity is projected to increase to eight gigawatts within the next five years. The president underscored the importance of energy resources in powering advanced technologies, indicating a strategic focus on expanding Azerbaijan’s energy capabilities in the near future.
