Baku: ‘We also look at the export markets and work actively with our partners in order to implement another important energy security project,’ said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev as he addressed the opening ceremony of the World Leaders Climate Action Summit at COP29 on November 12, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the head of state mentioned the Black Sea-Caspian energy cable, emphasizing its significance in exporting green energy to Europe. He noted that the technical potential of the cable is close to four gigawatts and that the feasibility studies for the project would be completed very soon. President Aliyev highlighted that this project marks only the beginning of Azerbaijan’s efforts in enhancing energy security and expanding its role in the European energy market.
