Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has approved the State Program for 2026-2035 on Improving Water Supply, Stormwater, and Wastewater Systems in the City of Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with coordinating the implementation of the measures outlined in the State Program. The Cabinet is responsible for overseeing the execution of these measures and is required to report annually to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the progress. In addition, the Cabinet will handle other issues arising from the order.
Monitoring and evaluation of the implementation will be conducted by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, as requested by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy have been instructed to ensure the allocation of necessary financial resources. This will be carried out during the annual preparation of the state budget and state investment programs. Additionally, these ministries will take steps to attract funding from other sources as outlined in the State Program.
