President Aliyev Signs Order Establishing Akhar-Bakhar and Ilisu National Parks in Azerbaijan


Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order on the establishment of the Akhar-Bakhar and Ilisu National Parks of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Akhar-Bakhar National Park has been established on an area of 23,901.99 hectares. This development involves the allocation of 11,113.46 hectares from the state reserve lands of Samukh District, 7,000.10 hectares from Yevlakh District, and 5,788.43 hectares from Gakh District, as detailed in the land-use plan annexed to the Order.



In addition, the Order also establishes the Ilisu National Park, which spans an area of 13,966.0 hectares. This includes 206.74 hectares from the state reserve lands of Zagatala District and 13,759.26 hectares from Gakh District, as specified in the decree’s annexed land-use plan.



The Cabinet of Ministers is tasked with resolving the issues arising from this Order, ensuring the successful implementation of the new national parks.
