Kalbajar: President Ilham Aliyev announced during a meeting with residents of Kalbajar city that the initialing of a crucial document has effectively concluded the long-standing Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict. This pivotal development marks a significant milestone in the region’s history.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan played a key role in authoring the peace agreement with Armenia. He stated that Azerbaijan’s position has consistently served as the foundation for drafting the agreement’s clauses. The President expressed confidence that the initialed document signifies a definitive end to the conflict between the two nations.
Additionally, President Aliyev highlighted the establishment of an overland connection with Azerbaijan’s historical homeland of Nakhchivan. This strategic link is viewed as a vital component in strengthening regional ties and fostering economic development.
