President Aliyev Criticizes USAID as a “Completely Corrupt Structure”

Baku: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has labeled USAID as a “completely corrupt structure” during his address at an international forum titled ‘Facing the New World Order’ held at ADA University. The statement was made on a platform attended by global leaders and policy makers, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev praised the initiatives started by former President Trump, suggesting they were promising but incomplete. He emphasized that USAID is a major adversary and called for its dissolution. Furthermore, President Aliyev expressed approval of the cessation of operations by Radio Liberty and Voice of America, though he believes this is insufficient.

He further criticized major international organizations, including Human Rights Watch, Freedom House, Amnesty International, and Transparency International, labeling them as part of the infrastructure of political opposition that needs to be rendered ineffective. This commentary was part of his broader critique of international entities that he perceives as obstacles to Azerbaijan’s national interests.
