President Aliyev Announces Initiation of Trade Relations Between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Yerevan: Azerbaijan has laid the foundation for trade relations with Armenia, President Ilham Aliyev announced in his video address at the European Political Community summit held in Armenia. According to APA reports, the president highlighted that Azerbaijan has unilaterally lifted all transit restrictions imposed on Armenia since the early 1990s, facilitating the delivery of 28,000 tons of cargo through Azerbaijani territory to Armenia.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev further stated that Azerbaijan has begun exporting oil products to Armenia for the first time. A total of 12,000 tons of gasoline and diesel have been supplied, marking a significant step in trade relations between the two nations. The move signals a new phase of cooperation and interaction following the achievement of peace in the region.
