Mardin: An unpleasant incident occurred in Trkiye’s Mardin Super Amateur League, APA reports, citing Apasport.az. The incident took place during a match between Derikspor and Kiziltepe 47 Sport.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, after the referee awarded a penalty to Derikspor, Besir Daglik successfully converted the spot kick. Following the goal, opposing player Sadat Korul attacked rival footballers. He kicked Derikspor player Yusuf €š¬¡ift§i in the knee and, after he fell, struck him again in the head.
Korul was shown a red card, while €š¬¡ift§i was hospitalized. An investigation has been launched, and Korul has been arrested. €š¬¡ift§i suffered a fractured cheekbone and continues to receive treatment.
