Gobustan: A landslide in the Gobustan village of Absheron district has ended in tragedy, APA reports. One person died and one was injured as a result of a landslide. An investigation into the incident is underway at the district prosecutor’s office.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the landslide occurred while individuals were engaged in fishing activities. Rescue efforts were promptly initiated, but unfortunately, one individual succumbed to the injuries sustained during the incident. The injured person has been taken to a local medical facility for treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation at the district prosecutor’s office to determine the causes and circumstances leading to the landslide. Local officials are also assessing the area for potential risks to prevent similar incidents in the future.
