Baku: Passenger transportation by rail in Azerbaijan experienced a significant increase of more than 20% during the first half of 2025.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 4,648.4 thousand passengers were transported by rail from January to June 2025.
In the same period, 8.5 million tons of cargo were transported. However, cargo transportation saw a decline of 9.3% compared to the same period in 2024. These figures were reported in the monthly report issued by the State Statistical Committee.
