Yerevan: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced progress in establishing interstate relations with Azerbaijan and Trkiye during his speech at the SCO Plus meeting, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Pashinyan emphasized Armenia’s pursuit of a multipolar foreign policy, which he described as balanced and aimed at maintaining relations with various centers of power sensitive to the current geopolitical situation. He highlighted the importance of preserving and strengthening Armenia’s sovereignty and independence as the primary objectives of this policy.
Pashinyan further explained that deepening friendly relations with neighbors such as Iran and Georgia is a key component of Armenia’s strategy. He noted that peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan has paved the way for opening interstate communications with Azerbaijan and Trkiye. This initiative includes the implementation of the TRIPP project, which aims to create new transport opportunities connecting the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean Sea and the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea.
