Pashinyan Calls Azerbaijani Deputy PM’s Visit to Armenia a Historic Step


Baku: ‘I believe that a very important event has taken place,’ said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan while commenting on the visit of Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev to Yerevan, Armenian media reports.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Pashinyan emphasized the significance of the visits by the deputy prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, describing them as historic for the development and institutionalization of the peace process. He expressed satisfaction at reaching this stage in bilateral relations.



The thirteenth meeting of the State Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia took place on April 29 in Aghveran, Republic of Armenia. It was chaired by Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, and Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia. This meeting focused on delimitation of the state border and border security issues between the two countries.
