Baku: It is extremely important to make every effort to bring trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan onto the desired trajectory, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said at a meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Overchuk emphasized the need to restore the momentum lost due to tragic events that occurred about a year and a half ago, which had weakened the relations between the two countries. He mentioned a conversation with Shahin Abdullayevich where both agreed that representatives of business circles should take on the primary task of revitalizing trade and economic cooperation.
Overchuk also highlighted the significance of maintaining and developing relations between Russia and Azerbaijan. He noted that despite the sad events in the past, there are new opportunities for growth and development that both nations deserve. Russia and Azerbaijan, as closest neighbors, must continue to nurture their strong ties and guide efforts towards enhanced cooperation.
