Baku: The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is dedicated to evolving into a global actor, as affirmed by Deputy Secretary General Omer Kocaman during a media briefing at the 7th Meeting of Ministers and High Officials in Charge of Media and Information of OTS in Baku.
According to Trend News Agency, Kocaman emphasized the collective resolution reached at the high-level meeting, where officials unanimously agreed on the strategic areas and steps for OTS to undertake by 2026. He highlighted the significance of Azerbaijan’s role in hosting the meeting and implementing the resolutions.
Kocaman pointed out that member countries of OTS share aligned goals in information and communication, focusing on media literacy, combating disinformation, and ensuring accurate information dissemination. He stressed the commitment of OTS and the Communication Directorate of the Presidential Administration of Trkiye to fulfilling their roles in transforming OTS from a regional to a global actor.
He further stated that the Communication Directorate of the Presidential Administration of Trkiye is prepared to contribute to this transformation, ensuring the effective conveyance of information to the public.
