One of Seven Involved in Drug Smuggling from Iran to Azerbaijan Neutralized, Three Detained


Lankaran: One individual from a group of seven involved in smuggling large quantities of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan has been neutralized, and three others have been detained. On April 26, border guards observed the movement of these individuals attempting to illegally cross the state border from the Islamic Republic of Iran into the Republic of Azerbaijan within the service area of the “Lankaran” border detachment of the Border Troops Command of the State Border Service.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Press Center of the State Border Service reported the incident, highlighting the ongoing efforts to secure the border and prevent illegal activities. The operation demonstrates the vigilance and readiness of the border guards to tackle drug smuggling attempts along the border regions.
