Ombudswoman of Kyrgyzstan and Commissioner for Human Rights organize meeting with Kyrgyz diaspora representatives in Moscow

Ombudswoman of Kyrgyzstan Dzhamilya Dzhamanbayeva and Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Tatyana Moskalkova held a meeting with representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Moscow.
According to the Ombudswoman’s Institute, the meeting was held at the Kyrgyz embassy in Rusia. Kyrgyz citizens were consulted on legal issues by representatives of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as employees of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights.
The Ombudswoman noted the number of problems which Kyrgyz citizens face in Russia. These are migration registration outside the place of residence, the issue of the possibility of obtaining a compulsory medical insurance policy for family members, amnesty for those on the “black list”, difficulties in enrolling children in local schools, labor rights, a rude attitude in some cases and others.
“It takes time to solve these problems, as well as the active assistance of local state bodies. We, for our part, will make every effort to promote human rights issues,” she said.
The Ombudswoman noted that, together with the Commissioner for Human Rights, they have begun to work out algorithms for solving the problems of migrants from Kyrgyzstan.
“For example, a draft protocol for joint interaction between the Human Rights Commissioner and our institute has been developed. The protocol reflects our plans for cooperation until the end of 2024,” she added.
