Baku: In the period from January to September 2025, the total gross domestic product (GDP) produced in the country amounted to 95 billion 229.2 million manats, marking an increase of 1.3 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, citing the State Statistical Committee, the country saw a shift in economic dynamics, with the non-oil and gas sector showing a notable growth of 2.9 percent, while the oil and gas sector experienced a decline of 1.9 percent.
The breakdown of GDP production highlights the predominant role of the industry sector, which contributed 34.2 percent. The trade and repair of vehicles sector followed with 10.5 percent, while transportation and storage accounted for 7.0 percent. Agriculture, forestry, and fishing represented 6.8 percent of the GDP, with construction adding 6.6 percent. The accommodation of tourists and public catering contributed 2.8 percent, and the information and communication sectors made up 1.8 percent. Other sectors collectively represented 20.7 percent, and net taxes on products and imports made up 9.6 percent of the GDP.
The report also noted that GDP per capita reached 9,300.3 manats, reflecting the economic output on an individual level during the assessed period.
