Next Batch of Humanitarian Aid from Azerbaijan to Ukraine to Be Dispatched

Baku: Tomorrow, the next batch of humanitarian aid from Azerbaijan to Ukraine will be dispatched, APA reports. The humanitarian aid will mainly consist of electrical equipment.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, by the relevant Order of President Ilham Aliyev, funds amounting to the manat equivalent of 1 million US dollars were allocated from the Reserve Fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This allocation, envisaged in the 2025 state budget, has been directed to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan for the purchase and delivery of electrical equipment produced in Azerbaijan, aimed at providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

The Republic of Azerbaijan, guided by principles of humanism, provides humanitarian aid to many countries worldwide on both bilateral and multilateral bases. Humanitarian aid to Ukraine has been ongoing, with the total amount of humanitarian assistance, including aid for restoration and reconstruction purposes, reaching 70 million manats, which is more than approximately 40 million US dollars.

In addition to material aid, Azerbaijan has extended a helping hand to Ukrainian children affected by the war. These children, who have suffered the loss of family members, have been brought to Azerbaijan for medical and social-psychological rehabilitation.
