Baku: Prime Minister of the State of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Independence Day, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Netanyahu expressed gratitude for the friendship between Israel and Azerbaijan, highlighting the strengthening ties between the two nations over the years. He acknowledged President Aliyev’s efforts in combating extremism, emphasizing its role in regional stability and peace promotion.
Netanyahu also expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s support for Israel, especially following the attack by Hamas on October 7. He noted Azerbaijan’s commitment to standing against mutual regional threats as a testament to the trust and respect shared between the two countries.
The letter further mentioned Netanyahu’s eagerness to expand bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields such as AI, aviation, tourism, and academia. He also looked forward to convening another meeting of the Joint Economic Commission.
Netanyahu concluded by wishing President Aliyev, his family, and the Azerbaijani people continued prosperity and success.
