Amsterdam: Natural gas prices in Europe have experienced a notable decrease, dropping by nearly 5% as the auctions concluded yesterday. The cost for 1,000 cubic meters of gas fell below 510 USD, signaling a shift in the energy market dynamics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the price of March futures on the TTF (Title Transfer Facility), Europe’s most liquid virtual trading hub, reached 506.1 USD. This marks a 4.9% reduction from the previous calculation price of 532.2 USD. The decline in prices highlights significant changes in European energy markets, possibly influencing future trading and consumption patterns.
Since December 31, 2020, Azerbaijani gas has been transported to Europe through the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). This development has played a role in shaping the energy landscape, potentially contributing to the current pricing shifts observed in the market.
