Tbilisi:Last month, money transfers from Azerbaijan to Georgia amounted to $2.86 million, marking a significant decrease. The National Bank of Georgia reported this reduction in financial flow between the two countries.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the volume of money transfers from Azerbaijan to Georgia saw a 15.72% decrease compared to the same period the previous year. In September, Azerbaijan’s contribution to the total money transfers received by Georgia represented just 1%.
Conversely, money transfers from Georgia to Azerbaijan increased, reaching $7.06 million, which is a 9.29% rise compared to the same period last year. Overall, Georgia received $285.77 million in money transfers from abroad during the reporting month, while $36.9 million was sent from Georgia to various foreign countries.
