Monetary Base in Azerbaijan Rises by Over 3%


Baku: The monetary base in Azerbaijan has seen an increase of over 3%, now totaling 21 billion 541.2 million manat as of October 1, 2025. This information was reported by APA-Economics, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the monetary base experienced a 2% rise, equivalent to 419.4 million manat, compared to the previous month. The data further reveals a 3% growth in the monetary base since the beginning of the year and a 3.1% increase over the past year.



The monetary base is composed of cash in circulation and bank reserves, which include both free bank reserves and mandatory reserves held by commercial banks.
