Baku: ‘There are good opportunities to further expand cooperation between Spain and Azerbaijan and to include new areas,’ said Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova at a joint press conference with Speaker of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain Francina Armengol Socias, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Gafarova emphasized the successful cooperation already existing in various areas and the potential to broaden this partnership further. She mentioned that work is ongoing to expand the contractual and legal framework, highlighting the importance of collaboration in the fields of science, education, and culture. Strengthening ties in these areas will enable the people of both nations, particularly the youth, to foster closer connections and understanding.
Furthermore, Gafarova underscored the significance of cooperation and mutual support within international parliamentary organizations. She expressed satisfaction with the productive meetings and discussions held with Ms. Armengol during the 11th Summit of Speakers of Parliaments of the G20 countries in Cape Town, South Africa. Gafarova noted that the visit of Ms. Armengol itself signifies a mutual intent to seize the opportunities available for enhancing relations between the two countries’ parliaments.
