Member of Jordanian Senate: Cities Must Be Accessible to All

Baku: ‘Bringing together so many different experiences and ideas from different sectors of our societies proves that inclusion is no longer an option, but an urgent humanitarian and developmental necessity,’ said Asya Abdel Yaghi, member of the Jordanian Senate and Chair of the “I Am Human” Society for Rights of Persons with Disabilities, during the international training on ‘Inclusive Cities and Independent Living for Persons with Disabilities’ held as part of WUF13.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event underscored the importance of creating urban environments that cater to the needs of all individuals, including those with disabilities. Asya Abdel Yaghi emphasized that inclusive urban planning is crucial for ensuring that every person can participate fully in society. The training aimed to highlight strategies and share best practices for developing cities that accommodate diverse needs.
