Baku: Chairman of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya, Mohammed Yunis Al-Menfi, has sent a letter to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the signing of the historic peace declaration between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia on August 8, 2025.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter expressed Al-Menfi’s congratulations to President Aliyev, acknowledging the significance of the peace declaration as a pivotal step in resolving the enduring conflict in the Caucasus region. The letter highlighted Aliyev’s leadership and determination in achieving peace, noting its substantial contribution to regional security and stability.
Al-Menfi commended the Azerbaijani President for setting a conflict resolution example through dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation. He expressed hope for the continued development and prosperity of Azerbaijan and anticipated strengthened ties of friendship and cooperation between Libya and Azerbaijan following this historic achievement.
