Sheki: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union, along with Arzu Aliyeva, visited the Social Service Orphanage of the Social Services Agency in Sheki, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during their visit, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva took the opportunity to closely examine the activities of the orphanage. They assessed the conditions provided for children who are deprived of parental care and reviewed the steps being taken to ensure their education and social protection.
The orphanage, originally established in 1936, recently saw the construction of a new building, an initiative led by Mehriban Aliyeva, First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva also attended a cultural program prepared by the children. The program featured dance, music, and theater performances, showcasing the children’s creativity and talent. The performances, which highlighted the children’s stage culture and skills, were met with significant interest.
The visit concluded with commemorative photos being taken with the staff and children, after which gifts were presented to the children.
