Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva Lead Coastal Cleanup Effort in Bilgah


Bilgah: Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, along with the head of Baku Media Center, Arzu Aliyeva, participated in a coastal cleanup campaign in Bilgah.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the campaign was organized by the IDEA Public Union and involved over a hundred volunteers. During the event, nearly five tons of waste were collected and subsequently handed over to the Balakhani solid waste sorting plant operated by “Clean City” OJSC.



The primary aim of the campaign is to promote cleanliness along coastlines while encouraging collective efforts to protect the coastal environment. To preserve the unique biodiversity of the Caspian Sea and other water basins in the Caucasus region, IDEA engages in sustainable activities focused on cleaning and restoring coastal areas.



The IDEA Public Union urges citizens to be mindful of environmental protection while enjoying beach activities. It calls on the public to keep coastlines clean, avoid littering, exhibit responsible behavior, and ensure no waste is left behind in the area.
